The elephant in the room...

The recent debate between President Joe Biden and his rival Donald Trump on CNN ended in disaster, causing significant damage to the Democrats' election campaigns. Biden's physical, cognitive, and sensory performance, at 81 years old, was notably poor, as reflected in the polls. A survey showed that 60% of Democrats prefer a different candidate over Biden. Other polls also indicate unfavorable results for Biden.

While the mainstream liberal media, which supports the Democrats, is calling for Biden to withdraw his candidacy, Democratic leaders in Congress are saying, "Everything is fine, no need to panic. We're continuing with Biden." Despite these reassurances, panic persists among Democrats. In my previous article, I mentioned that the Democratic Party establishment is waiting for poll results to assess the damage caused by Biden's poor performance. Additionally, businesspeople who donate to the Democrats will re-evaluate the situation based on these results. American elections revolve around "Big Money," making donors' positions extremely important.

Democrats are raising more funds than Republicans, but they have already spent a significant portion of it. The Republicans' strategy of spending less money has drawn attention. They plan to use their funds in the coming months, meaning their ad blitz hasn't even begun yet.

If major donors who have invested in the Democrats, like the globalist/liberal mainstream media, conclude that Biden is no longer viable, it could change the game. If donors start calling for Biden's withdrawal, things could worsen for the Democrats. Consequently, Biden's leadership team has initiated "persuasion efforts," emphasizing that there hasn't been a drastic change in voter preferences before and after the debate.

Biden's dismal performance is negatively impacting the Democrats' campaigns against Trump. The leadership team has launched "public relations campaigns" to change opinions and end discussions about Biden withdrawing. The fragmented energy, effort, and money in the Democrats' campaign are strengthening the Republicans' position.

The Democrats are also worried about some Silicon Valley "new tech" billionaires and venture capitalists leaning towards Trump. Until now, the lion's share of donations from Silicon Valley went to the Democrats. Biden's commitments to raise corporate taxes under pressure from the "Progressive Left" wing of the Democrats are scaring off tech investors. Additionally, the feeling that Biden will lose to Trump is prompting Silicon Valley to seek a new Democratic presidential candidate.

Biden is lagging behind Democratic Senate candidates in many states, signaling a tough November election for the Democrats. While Senate Democrats are sending "stay the course with Biden" messages, House candidates are quite anxious. As a result, candidates in critical states are focusing solely on their own races. According to Axios, these candidates are trying to distance themselves from Biden, believing his campaign appearances could negatively affect tight races.

Whether Biden, his campaign, and the established Democratic Party can calm the panic at the grassroots level will become clear in the coming days. Biden's refusal to withdraw is a major issue, and if he does, the process of selecting a new candidate will be another challenge. Some Democratic strategists believe Biden's candidacy, given his age-related challenges, should have been reconsidered late last year. The Democrats are in a tight spot. Biden is now the "elephant in the room," and time is running out for the Democrats.
