Russian Defense Ministry says its forces also launched 4 group strikes over past week
Russia on Friday claimed that its forces have taken control of four Ukrainian settlements over the past week.
According to a Defense Ministry statement, units of the Southern group of forces took over the settlements of Fedorivka and Markovo in the Donetsk region, while the East group captured settlements of Kamyshevakha in the Donetsk and Novosyolka in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
It claimed that over the past week, Moscow also launched four group strikes with precision weapons and drones, targeting enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, fuel, transport and port infrastructure facilities used in the military interests, military airfields, production workshops and storage sites of drones.
According to the ministry, Ukraine responded with air attacks over the week, with Russian air defense systems shooting down 12 guided aerial bombs, 13 projectiles from the US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system, and 1,513 drones.
It said that six Ukrainian unmanned boats were destroyed today.
Ukraine has yet to comment on Russia's claims, and independent verification is challenging due to the ongoing conflict.
