A Turkish soldier, injured in a PKK terror attack, succumbed to his wounds in capital Ankara on Monday, the military said.
In a statement, Turkish General Staff said the soldier was hospitalized after an improvised explosive device detonated in southeastern Hatay province on June 10 during a PKK terror attack.
The statement wished God’s mercy upon the martyred soldier and extended condolences to his family.
The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey as well as the U.S. and EU.
In its terror campaign against Turkey, which has lasted for more than three decades, over 40,000 people have been killed, including women and children.
