Zelenskyy's visit comes ahead of 4th Ukraine Recovery Conference slated for Thursday, Friday
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday arrived in Italy's capital Rome ahead of the fourth conference on the reconstruction of the war-torn country.
Multiple Ukrainian news outlets, including state news agency Ukrinform, reported Zelenskyy's arrival, citing his press service, noting he is scheduled to meet his Italian counterpart Sergio Mattarella, and Pope Leo XIV.
According to the report, Zelenskyy's program also includes a meeting with US Special Envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg.
The Italian capital is set to host the 4th Ukraine Recovery Conference on July 10-11.
Zelenskyy and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni will open the event as part of “high-level political events dedicated to the swift recovery and long-term reconstruction of Ukraine” since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war in February 2022, according to the event's website.
The previous conference took place in the German capital Berlin in June 2024.
On Monday, Zelenskyy also announced an upcoming meeting of the “coalition of the willing” in Rome, which he said would take place in “just a few days.”
