Champions League, Europa League finals will be contested by four English teams for first time in history
English football clubs Arsenal and Chelsea beat their opponents Thursday and qualified for the UEFA Europa League final.
Arsenal beat Spanish club Valencia 4-2.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a hat-trick for Arsenal with goals in the 17th, 69th and 88th minutes while Alexandre Lacazette found the net in the 50th minute.
Valencia scored in the 11th and 58th minutes with goals by Kevin Gameiro.
Arsenal won the first leg 3-1 and qualified for the UEFA Europa League final.
Chelsea, meanwhile, beat Germany's Eintracht Frankfurt in a penalty shootout after a second straight draw between the teams in the semifinals.
Chelsea’s goal came in the 28th minute from Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Eintracht Frankfurt scored in the 49th minute with a goal by Luka Jovic.
Chelsea and Arsenal separately reached the UEFA Europa League final for the second time.
The final between Arsenal and Chelsea will be played on May 29 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
With Liverpool and Tottenham meeting in the Champions League final in Madrid and Chelsea and Arsenal playing in the Europa League final, it marks the first time in history that Champions League and Europa League finals will be contested by four English teams.
