French forward Griezmann says on social media he won't be at the club next season
Spanish football club Atletico Madrid's French star Antoine Griezmann announced late Tuesday that he will be leaving at the end of this season.
"These five years have been incredible. Thank you very much for everything. I carry you in my heart," Griezmann, 28, said on Twitter.
Meanwhile, the club said on social media that Griezmann had informed them of his plans.
On Saturday, the French international will play his last game for Atletico Madrid when they face Levante in a league match.
Playing for the club since July 2014, Griezmann scored 133 goals in 256 appearances.
In his five-year spell at Atletico, he won the UEFA Europa League title and the UEFA Super Cup.
Separately, Griezmann helped France to win the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
