At least 12 Palestinians were killed Saturday as Israeli forces continued their genocidal war on Gaza, according to medical sources.In the Al-Shanti area of Gaza City, four members of the same family were killed overnight when an Israeli strike targeted their tent, the sources told Anadolu.
They added that three more Palestinians were shot dead while trying to reach a US-backed aid distribution point in western Rafah.
Since Tuesday, Palestinians desperate for food have been killed almost daily by Israeli fire while trying to collect aid from distribution points run by the newly formed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, a body supported by Israel and the US.
In Khan Younis, two Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike on Bani Suheila town, where Israeli forces have reportedly been conducting widespread demolitions of buildings and infrastructure, including in the neighboring town of Al-Qarara, eyewitnesses said.
Rescue teams also retrieved the bodies of two Palestinians killed in a previous Israeli strike on Al-Qarara, though the exact timing of the attack was not specified.
In the central part of Khan Younis, one Palestinian was killed and several others injured when an Israeli drone strike hit the Al-Safi neighborhood in the Al-Sikka area.
Since March 2, Israel has kept all border crossings shut, cutting off the entry of food, medicine, fuel, and other essential supplies for Gaza's 2.4 million residents.
Israel has pursued a devastating offensive in Gaza since October 2023, killing over 54,300 Palestinians, most of them women and children. Aid agencies have warned about the risk of famine among the enclave's more than 2 million population.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war crimes against civilians in the enclave.
