Salahs were recited at 85,000 mosques across Turkey for the sake of civilians, police officers and soldiers who poured onto the streets to resist the FETÖ’s coup attempt and were martyred as a result of the coup plotters’ fire.

As part of the investigation into the FETÖ’s coup attempt, Anadolu Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office ruled on the detention of 110 judges and prosecutors who had been serving at the Anadolu Courthouse.
Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ announced that 6,000 people had been detained across Turkey as part of the investigation into the FETÖ’s coup attempt.

Turkish Airlines (THY) announced that it had cancelled a total of 179 domestic and international flights due to some failures experienced in the air traffic after the FETÖ’s coup attempt.

Martyrs, including Professor İlhan Varank, who were martyred while resisting putschist soldiers in front of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality on July 15th, were laid to rest in Istanbul. President Erdoğan attended the funeral prayer of Professor İlhan Varank, the elder brother of Chief Presidential Advisor Mustafa Varank, at the Fatih Mosque.

Yeni Şafak newspaper’s photojournalist Mustafa Cambaz was martyred as a result of the fire opened by putschist soldiers in Çengelköy, Istanbul. The funeral of our fellow worker was brought to the Albayrak Holding headquarters in Topkapı and his workmates were asked there to bless him. Then, Cambaz’s funeral was brought to the Tatbikat Mosque of the Marmara University Facility of Theology amid prayers and “God is the greatest” exclamations. President Erdoğan attended the funerals of Mustafa Cambaz, Erol Olçok and his son Abdullah Tayyip Olçok, who were martyred by FETÖ-linked traitors. President Erdoğan burst into tears while mentioning Abdullah Tayyip Olçok. Following the funeral prayer at the Marmara University Faculty of Theology mosque, President Erdoğan went to the cemetery and recited passages from the Quran while martyrs were being buried.

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey announced that it had taken new measures for the continuation of efficient functioning of financial markets.

The following measures were taken to ensure that financial markets continue to function in an efficient way:
1) The Central Bank will provide unlimited liquidity for the banks which they need.
2) The commission rate of the intra-day liquidity facility provided for the banks will be zero.
3) In order to provide liquidity for the Turkish lira, banks will be allowed to bring unlimited collateral foreign currency deposits if required.
4) The existing limits of approximately $50 billion that banks can use to buy foreign exchange deposits can be increased if necessary and their terms of use may be improved (collaterals and costs).
5) All the markets and systems (Electronic Fund Transfers and Electronic Security Transfers) within the Central Bank will be kept open until the completion of transactions.
6) Market depth and price developments will be followed closely.
7) If needed, all necessary measures to protect financial stability will be taken.


The putschist soldiers attacked President Erdoğan’s hotel in the Marmaris district of Muğla during the coup attempt and escaped after martyring two police officers. Two of these soldiers were caught. A search was initiated in and around Marmaris to catch the mixed assassination team, consisting of maroon berets, Combat Research and Rescue (MAK) and Underwater Offense (SAT) commandos, who escaped to the woodland and mountainous area after the attack.

A total of 36 of the soldiers who attacked President Erdoğan’s hotel in Marmaris to assassinate him during the FETÖ’s coup attempt were caught in groups as a result of successful operations. Military materials seized from the caught assassination team included:
22 HK 416 cal infantry rifles, one M4 infantry rifle, six grenade launchers, 22 grenade launcher cartridges, five Beretta pistols, one Sig Sauer pistol, one Glock pistol, 3,874 long-barreled gun cartridges, 668 pistol cartridges , 11 hand grenades, 15 daytime rifle binoculars, seven night vision binoculars, 856 long-barreled gun shells, 103 long-barreled gun chargers, 34 pistol chargers, 20 steel vests, two commando knives, 23 composite ballistic caps, four military lanterns, 18 protective inner vests, 39 ceramic plates for steel vests, 30 bullets for long-barreled gun cartridges, nine assault vests, seven plastic handcuffs, two communication devices, 11 radiotelephones, 43 knee guards, two elbow protectors, three headlamps, two mobile phones, 16 broken mobile phone parts, four backpacks, one action head camera, two high-ranking camouflage upper shirt, peanut butter, two motorcycle masks, three Marmaris maps, three boxes of pistol cartridges, three radiotelephone code lists, two serum kits, one phone charger, three HK rifle legs, five light bars, one rosary and four wallets.

On the evening of July 15, a team of putschists prepared at the İzmir Çiğli Main Jet Base to attack the hotel President Erdoğan was staying at in Marmaris. A helicopter that took off from Istanbul Samandıra Military Base came to Çiğli for support. The assassination team that went into action at night attacked the hotel in Marmaris.
According to a statement by Kremlin Palace sources, Russian President Vladimir Putin phoned President Erdoğan to discuss the July 15th coup attempt. Putin expressed that they were on the side of the elected government in Turkey.
