
Israeli drones target residential apartment, tents for displaced civilians, according to medics
The Israeli army killed at least 30 Palestinian civilians and injured many others in a fresh wave of attacks across the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, according to medics.
A medical source told Anadolu that 15 people from two Palestinian families were killed by the Israeli shelling targeting tents sheltering displaced families in western Gaza City.
Two people were also killed when the Israeli army bombed the multi-story Tiba 2 residential tower in western Gaza City shortly after issuing an evacuation order.
According to the state news agency Wafa, five people were killed in an Israeli drone strike on a tent sheltering displaced Palestinians in al-Nasr Street of northwestern Gaza City.
Israeli drones hit another tent in Palestine Square near Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in central Gaza City, resulting in the death of a civilian and a number of injuries.
Israeli army forces also shelled a civilian gathering in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, killing one Palestinian. The army continued to carry out strikes on the various areas of the neighborhood.
One Palestinian lost his life, and others were injured after Israeli fighter jets targeted a residential apartment in the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
A Palestinian child was killed, and many others were injured in an Israeli drone strike on a tent in Deir al-Balah city.
In southern Gaza, four people, two of them children, were killed in Israeli bombardment of the Jalal Street in Khan Younis.
Israel has killed more than 64,600 Palestinians in a brutal offensive in Gaza since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave and pushed the territory’s population into famine.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
