Delegation offers condolences to family of Badr Al-Dosari, praises Qatar’s support for Palestinians amid Israeli war

A senior Hamas delegation on Saturday extended condolences to the family of Qatari officer Badr bin Saad Al-Dosari, who was killed in Tuesday’s Israeli strike that targeted the group leadership in Doha.

The delegation included political bureau members Izzat al-Risheq, Suhail al-Hindi, Abdul Jabbar Said, Jamal Issa, Osama Hamdan and Ahmed Mashaal.

Speaking on behalf of the movement, al-Risheq described Al-Dosari as a hero whose sacrifice alongside Palestinians “symbolizes a unity of struggle and destiny.”

He also expressed appreciation for Qatar’s leadership, particularly Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, praising Doha’s consistent support for the Palestinian cause and its joint mediation efforts with Egypt to end the Israeli war on Gaza.

Al-Risheq commended the resilience of Al-Dosari’s family, saying they reaffirmed their solidarity with Palestinians despite their loss. He added that their stance reflected Qatar’s “honorable role in strengthening Palestinian steadfastness and alleviating suffering.”

Israel targeted a residential compound on Tuesday that was housing Hamas leaders in Doha, killing five group members and a Qatari security official, as the group was discussing a new deal proposed by the US to end the war in Gaza, where Israel has killed more than 64,700 people since October 2023.
