
Victims include displaced families, women, children, medical sources report
At least 21 Palestinians were killed and several others injured on Friday as Israeli forces carried out airstrikes across multiple areas of the Gaza Strip, medical sources reported.
In southern Gaza’s Khan Younis, five people were killed and others wounded when Israeli forces targeted tents sheltering displaced families in the al-Mawasi area.
Five more people were killed and several injured after an airstrike hit a residential home in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood of southwest Gaza City.
Further north, in the Al-Sudaniyah area, four people were killed and others wounded when Israel targeted a tent housing displaced families.
In the central Gaza Strip, two people were killed and others injured in an airstrike on a home in the Al-Bureij refugee camp.
In Deir al-Balah city, a man and his wife were killed and several others wounded when a home on Al-Salam Street was struck.
Three more people were killed in strikes on a procession of residents on Abu Husni Street in the same city.
Israel has killed at least 63,000 Palestinians in Gaza since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, which is facing famine.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
