Latest attack wave also targets Tehran as explosions heard across capital
The Israeli Air Force launched strikes against surface-to-surface missile sites in Iran, the military announced early Monday.
"The Air Force is now attacking surface-to-surface missile sites in central Iran," it said on X.
Israel also initiated a new attack wave on Iran's capital Tehran, with explosions heard at intervals across various areas of the city, according to an Anadolu correspondent.
Iranian state television reported Israeli attacks on Tehran's Shahriar district during the strikes.
Israeli forces initially attacked Iran in the early hours of Friday, hitting nuclear and missile facilities and killing top military commanders and scientists.
Iran responded with ballistic missiles targeting several areas across Israel, killing and injuring Israelis and damaging buildings.
