Moscow says troops also advanced on Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson fronts, while Kyiv yet to confirm

Russia’s Defense Ministry said Sunday its forces had seized the settlement of Khoroshe in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region and reported further gains on the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson fronts.

The ministry said units from its East group launched operations that led to the capture of Khoroshe, while also targeting Ukrainian brigades in nearby areas.

It added that its Center group pressed into Ukrainian defenses around Rubizhne, Veselye, Novonikolaevka, Artemivka, Krasnoarmiysk, Vladimirovka, and Kutuzivka in Donetsk, claiming the destruction of tanks, artillery, and electronic warfare equipment.

In the south, Russia said its Dnipro group struck Ukrainian positions in Otradokamenka, Tyahynka, and Antonivka, while reporting losses of personnel, vehicles, and electronic warfare stations. Moscow also said its aviation, missile troops, and drones targeted military-industrial sites, drone depots, airfields, radar stations, and foreign mercenary bases in 149 locations.

According to the ministry, air defense systems intercepted three guided aerial bombs, three US-made HIMARS rockets, and more than 200 drones.

Ukraine has not confirmed the reported Russian advances, and independent verification of the battlefield situation remains unavailable.

Earlier Sunday, Kyiv’s Defense Ministry said Russia had launched a record 818 drones and missiles overnight, surpassing the previous high of 728 in July.

Moscow has repeatedly announced battlefield progress since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war in February 2022, while Kyiv often disputes or does not immediately respond to such claims.
