Efes manage to beat Valencia Basket in Istanbul, 82-66; Olympiakos too much for Fenerbahce, 95-70
Only one Turkish club managed to grab a win in Thursday's Euroleague basketball action, when Anadolu Efes bested Valencia Basket in Istanbul by a score of a 82-66.
The evening saw the Turkish Airlines Euroleague continue with five Round 21 matches.
Behind Errick McCollum's 24-point/6-rebound/6-assist performance, Anadolu Efes cruised to a comfortable victory over their Spanish opponent to grab their sixth win for the season.
Zoran Dragic also added 18 points to the win for Anadolu Efes.
In Greece, Olympiakos was too much for Fenerbahce Dogus as they dominated the reigning Euroleague champions with a score of 95-70.
Behind Vassilis Spanoulis' and Janis Strelnieks' 19 points each, Olympiakos shot 76.5 percent from the three-point line, hitting 13 of 17 attempts.
Fenerbahce's Ali Muhammed scored a game-high 24 points, but it was not enough.
Other matches included Zalgiris Kaunas beating Maccabi Tel Aviv, 99-84, Barcelona Lassa besting Olimpia Milano, 81-83, and CSKA Moscow over Real Madrid, 93-87.
Euroleague will continue on Friday night with three more matches to wrap up Round 21.
Games Friday include Khimki Moscow going against Unicaja Malaga, Brose Bamberg taking on Panathinaikos Superfoods, and Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz facing Crvena Zvezda.
