Serbian star pushes to victory after losing 1st set to Spain's Pablo Carreno Busta
World number one Novak Djokovic came back from a set down to secure his spot in the semifinals of the 2020 French Open on Wednesday.
Djokovic overcame visible physical discomfort to defeat Spain’s Pablo Carreno Busta 4-6, 6-2, 6-3, 6-4 in the quarterfinal.
He will now take on Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas, who advanced to the semifinals with a 7-5, 6-2, 6-3 win over Russian Andrey Rublev.
In the women’s singles, fourth seed Sofia Kenin beat Danielle Collins 6-4, 4-6, 6-0 to claim her maiden French Open semifinal spot.
She will face the Czech Republic’s Petra Kvitova, who beat German Laura Siegemund 6-3, 6-3 in straight sets on Wednesday.
