The Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi is a masterpiece of medieval Islamic architecture located in Turkistan, Kazakhstan. Built in the 14th century by the order of Tamerlane, it combines advanced engineering solutions of its time with rich decorative elements.
The complex features the largest brick dome in Central Asia, the unique Tay-Kazan—a cauldron capable of holding 3,000 litres of water—and numerous epigraphic inscriptions adorning its walls.

This sacred site is the resting place of the great Sufi master and also serves as a pantheon for Kazakh khans.
