
Israeli army continues to carry out strikes, artillery shelling on Gaza City
The Israeli army continued to launch deadly strikes on residential neighborhoods of the Gaza Strip, killing three people, including a toddler, and injuring many others, medics said.
In Gaza City, a woman was killed and several others were injured as Israeli helicopters intensified strikes on Gaza City since dawn, targeting tents in the central Yarmouk area, medical sources told Anadolu.
According to the state news agency Wafa, a toddler was also killed by the Israeli strikes in the same area.
Israeli warplanes launched a series of strikes on Al-Nafaq Street, which runs from central Gaza City toward its northeastern areas, coinciding with heavy artillery shelling of the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood.
A Palestinian child was killed by Israeli gunfire on houses in the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
In Deir al-Balah, Israeli drones struck a house and injured several Palestinians.
The Israeli army has continued a brutal offensive on the Gaza Strip, killing more than 64,600 Palestinians since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, which is facing famine.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
