Türkiye’s international reserves hit record high of $180.1B

As of Sept. 5, international reserves up 1% compared to previous week, gold reserves climb 4.1%

The Turkish Central Bank's official international reserves reached a new all-time high of $180.1 billion as of Sept. 5, according to official figures released on Thursday.

The reserves rose 1%, or $1.75 billion, from the previous week's $180.1 billion, the bank said.

Foreign currency reserves — in convertible foreign currencies — were down 2.2% to $81.4 billion compared to the previous week.

The bank's gold reserves — including gold deposits and, if appropriate, gold-swapped — surged 4.1% to $90.9 billion in the same period.

Meanwhile, total IMF reserve position and special drawing rights fell 0.1% to reach $7.7 billion.
