Emine Erdogan, together with Turkish Family and Social Services Minister Mahinur Ozdemir Goktas, other ministers and high-level policy makers from 27 countries, visited stands set up as part of forum
Türkiye's first lady Emine Erdogan on Friday attended the closing ceremony of the International Family Forum in Istanbul and toured several exhibition booths.
Erdogan was welcomed at the venue by Turkish Family and Social Services Minister Mahinur Ozdemir Goktas.
Accompanied by Goktas and ministers and high-level policy makers from 27 countries, Erdogan visited booths set up as part of the forum and received information from staff about the various initiatives on display.
She also toured an interactive exhibition prepared by the ministry, titled “All happy families are alike,” and examined several products featured at the booths.
Organized under the theme “Safeguarding and Strengthening Family in the Face of Global Challenges,” the two-day event brought together policymakers, experts and civil society representatives to explore the evolving role of the family and the threats it faces in modern society.
The forum is organized under the auspices of Türkiye's Family and Social Services Ministry as part of the country's 2025 Year of the Family initiative. Anadolu is the forum's global communications partner.
The event featured a ministerial session and four panel discussions: “Highly profitable: The cost of global challenges to individuals, families and society,” “Between fiction and reality: Family in culture, art and media,” “Being a family in the age of screens,” and “The Myth of overpopulation: How a global agenda contributed to decline of populations.”
