Popular Turkish football team, Galatasaray, visits with Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the newly built palace
The team management and players of the Turkish football club, Galatasaray, met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the newly built Presidential Palace.
The players of Cim Bom Bom, the nick name of Galatasaray, gave Erdoğan a No. ‘53’ jersey signed by all the footballers as a present.
Commemorative photographs were taken after the meeting, which was closed to the press.
“Many years we were waiting for this day. We have met both our President and Prime Minister, the vice president of the team Abdürrahim Albayrak told the press after the meeting.
"We discussed the problems of Turkish football and of Galatasaray. President Erdoğan took interest in each of the football players," Albayrak said.
“We were very impressed by the palace,” he added.
