Aykut Kocaman's Fenerbahçe were unable to win league title this past season
Fenerbahçe and football manager Aykut Kocaman have parted ways, the chairman Ali Koc announced in a written statement.
In the statement published on Fenerbahce's official website on Monday afternoon, Ali Koc said the board and Aykut Kocaman "agreed on turning a new page [...]"
"I would like to thank Mr. Aykut Kocaman -- who sincerely appreciated our approach -- for his dedicated service to our club," the chairman said.
Aykut Kocaman's Fenerbahce were unable to win the league this past season, finishing at second place with 72 points. The team also failed to win the Turkish Cup in the final, losing to Akhisarspor.
