Bay Galata's Tuwek launcher and Drone-Seeker ammo offer rapid response to swarm UAV threats

Turkish defense manufacturer Bay Galata will unveil its new anti-drone weapon system, Tuwek, along with specialized Drone-Seeker munitions at this week's International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF 2025) in Istanbul, the firm said.

Tuwek is a multi-barrel launcher designed to deliver “hard kill” responses against mini, micro, and swarm unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). It can operate as a standalone platform or as part of Bay Galata's integrated TUZOQ anti-drone system. Each barrel can fire up to three rounds per minute, with an effective range of 300 meters (984 feet) or more.

The system is optimized for fast deployment against swarm drone threats and supports both fixed and mobile configurations. It features radar integration for enhanced targeting accuracy and engagement at extended ranges.

Bay Galata said the accompanying Drone-Seeker ammunition was developed in three variants to support infantry use as well as long- and medium-range platforms. Each round contains 400 to 600 pellets, with adjustable fuses allowing operators to customize the spread, lethal radius, and range.

The ammunition is compatible with 37 to 38-millimeter calibers and can be adapted for 40-mm barrels using accessories, the firm said.

Tuwek and Drone-Seeker will be on display at the six-day IDEF 2025, one of Türkiye's largest defense fairs, set to start on Tuesday.
