Israeli army targets tents, civilians waiting for aid delivery, residential apartments
At least 23 people were killed and several others injured in Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip since early Thursday, medical sources told Anadolu.
Israeli artillery shelled civilians waiting for aid delivery near the Zikim area, northern Gaza Strip, killing nine people and injuring dozens.
Four people, including a woman, were killed by an Israeli drone strike on a tent sheltering displaced Palestinians in Gaza City.
Israeli strikes also killed three people in Deir al-Balah, and another three in the Nuseirat refugee camp.
Separately, Israeli jets struck homes in the Bureij refugee camp, leaving two people dead and injuring others.
Two people also lost their lives after the Israeli army targeted a tent in western Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip.
Israel has killed more than 59,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in the Gaza Strip since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, collapsed the health system, and led to severe food shortages.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
