Turkey, US begin joint training on patrol activities in Syria's Manbij

Turkey and the United States started joint training on patrol activities in Syria's Manbij on Tuesday, National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said.

Turkey and the U.S. will begin combined patrolling activities in Manbij following the joint training, Akar said.

U.S. troops arrived in Turkey join training for a joint patrol activity in Manbij on Oct. 2.

The Manbij deal between Turkey and the U.S. focuses on the withdrawal of the YPG forces from the city to stabilize the region, which is in the northeast of the Aleppo province in northern Syria.
