Ukrainian president says European leaders took part in his phone conversation with US president
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Wednesday that he discussed the results of US envoy Steve Witkoff’s visit to Moscow during a phone call with President Donald Trump.
European leaders also participated in the conversation, Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram.
"On my way back from visiting our troops in the Sumy region, I spoke with President Trump. This call followed the trip of his representative, Witkoff, to Moscow," he said.
Zelenskyy emphasized the shared stance of Ukraine and its allies, which prioritizes ending the war.
"European leaders also joined the discussion, and I am grateful to each of them for their unwavering support," he added.
Earlier in the day, Witkoff had met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow for talks lasting approximately three hours.
