Fenerbahce bids farewell to UEFA European Champions League after defeat by AS Monaco 3-1
Turkey's Fenerbahce were eliminated Wednesday from the UEFA European Champions League after being beaten by French team AS Monaco 3-1 in the second-leg match in France in the third qualifying round.
Monaco's two goals came from Germain in the 3rd and 65th minutes, and Falcao scored the team's second from a penalty in the 18th minute.
Fenerbahce's Emenike scored in the 53rd minute.
The Istanbul side will continue their campaign in the UEFA Europa League's playoff tour.
Fenerbahce won the first match 2-1 against Monaco in Istanbul's Sukru Saracoglu Stadium.
