Astronauts to conduct research on stem cells, plant biology during 6-month mission
SpaceX Crew-11 astronauts arrived at the International Space Station, NASA announced Saturday.
The Crew-11 team lifted off aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Friday.
The arrival marked the start of a six-month mission during which the four astronauts from the US, Japan and Russia will conduct scientific research aboard the orbiting laboratory, including studies on stem cells and plant biology.
NASA welcomed the new crew, saying on X: “Welcome to the @Space_Station, Crew-11!”
The US space agency continued to stream live coverage of the mission and the welcome ceremony.
